The New Jersey Historical Society Announces Art Deco Confidential: A Narrated Architectural Walking Tour of Newark
On Saturday, November 3, 2007 from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, The New Jersey Historical Society will present Art Deco Confidential: A Narrated Architectural Walking Tour of Newark. He formerly served as the Executive Director of the New York Art Deco Society and is currently working on a heritage segment series for public television.
The tour will include special access to some of Newark's Art Deco treasures and a presentation by Cogswell Realty highlighting the extensive renovations of 1180 Raymond Boulevard. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a catered lunch from historic Hobby's deli, access to The New Jersey Historical Society's exhibits and a guided tour of the Newark Museum's Modernist collections. The cost of the tour is $49.00 per person, which covers lunch, refreshments and museum admission. Space is limited. Reservations and prepayment required.
