(Montclair, NJ), Van Vleck House & Gardens' Garden Discoveries Pre-K classes will begin on January 9th. This program is designed for children ages 3 to 5 and aims to excite their curiosity about the natural world. Every class examines one topic through a combination of stories, outdoor exploration and hands-on specimens and activities. Classes are held twice a month on Wednesday afternoons from 1:30 pm - 2:15 pm.

Pre-registration is required for each class. The topics and dates for the winter classes are:

January 9th Planting in the Greenhouse
January 23rd Animals in the Winter
February 13th Card Making from Nature
February 27th Sugar Maple Trees
March 12th Seed Starting
March 19th Birds and Their Nests

Cost per class: Van Vleck Friends - $5 per child; others - $7 per child.
