At Lime, grey is the new black. Jewel tones rule fall, and neutral sweaters are worn over layers of color.

Lime (609-397-3100) is a pretty little boutique on Bridge Street in Lambertville, a  town jammed with shops and cafes but none that compare on the fashion front!

Last week, owner Lorena Reyes brought in some models, and our fashion reporter Maria Cucciniello, owner of the The Hip Event (www.thehipevent.com) got a preview of all that’s best for the season to come.

Most difficult was settling on any one item. Lime is overflowing with great combinations from Theory, BCBG, Nanette Lepore, Rebecca Taylor, Trina Turk.  Graphic print and silk blouses, wearable from office to cocktail, and flowing over wide-legged pants or topping J Brand denims.

Lorena has arranged elements of your wardrobe by tasteful, trendy color, from deepest grey to light, auburn to beige. You can buy an entire wardrobe here.  Right down to the lingerie. And throw in a pricey handbag from top designers.

Lime doesn’t have a website yet. So you need to visit in person. Make sure you stop a few doors down at the Lambertville Trading Company (www.lambertvilletrading.com) for coffee and snacks.

Take a day trip to Lambertville, and you’ll enjoy this palette of fall fashions with a twist of Lime.
