We asked NJ My Way Fashion Editor Maria Cucciniello of The Hip Event to find the hottest fall looks for teens. MC asked her client, Suzy Frankel at Gotham, (www.gothamcityclothing.com) to enlighten us.

The first thing you notice when you enter Gotham in Millburn, is how pretty the store is.

Vibrant pink walls frosted with white highlights—the perfect milieu for the teen fashionista. From designer jeans to elegant formal dresses, this newly re-modeled emporium caters to upscale style savvy teenagers and their moms with loads of great designer duds.

The hottest labels include Free People and Juicy tanks, hoodies and leggings, J Brand jeans.

The look?

Suzy says the kids are wearing short, swingy jackets, colorful tank tops, and wide legged designer jeans. Top the tops with a long, multi-level connect–the–dots necklace, and slip your feet into shiny patent leather flats. Watch our video to see how it all comes together.

Other must-haves for fall include short skirts, leggings, and dressy-mini dresses worn alone, or as tunics over jeans and leggings. Party dressing is in, and the kids are wearing more of the styles that used to be designed for us.

In fact, many of the looks at Gotham bridge the generation gap. There’s plenty for mom to try on, and if your teen is older, you can share hers-and-hers basics, like tee shirts, tank tops, and jackets.

Chances are, your daughter will be right at home in Gotham, and if you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask the kid for advice—it’s never too late to begin your style makeover.
